A cheeky baby caught on camera could earn one proud parent a family portrait worth more than $800. To celebrate 15 years of the ASG Parent and Child Show, a competition is open for all Auckland parents to snap a photo of their baby doing something cheeky.
Rebecca Stewart, general manager of North Port Events - the Show organisers-says the 'cheekiest baby' is about capturing the child’s personality. “The idea about your ‘beautiful baby’ competition was very much what happened 20 years ago. We wanted to play on that,” she says.
Parents, grandparents or caregivers can enter photographs of newborn babies up to the age of 12 months. The finalists from each region – Central, North Shore, Eastern Bays, South and West Auckland – will be selected before the event and will win a $132 prize pack including a feeding journal, tumbler, toys, a Time for Dreaming CD, toiletries and tickets to the Show.
The overall winner will be announced at the Show and will walk away with a family portrait session and an A3-sized canvas print from ImageMe worth $815. Mrs Stewart says this year's Show features a wide range of exhibitors to meet the diverse needs of visitors.
The event will feature everything from maternity, antenatal and infant accessories to nutritional food, information and educational products for babies and young children.
